Project: Wind tunnel design for dry deposition of atmospheric PM2.5 to wavy water surfaces
Time: 2014 summer
Duration: 10 weeks
Type: Research group project
Description: This is a joint research project with environmental science department to design and prototype 2 wind tunnels to analyse dry deposition of atmospheric PM2.5 to wavy water surfaces. A motor is used to generate different waves on one wind tunnel. Data are collected to derive deposition velocity and to help analyse the effect of humidity and wave. In this project, I worked as both a wind tunnel designer and the project manager to control and coordinate the work of other fellows
BACKGROUND & ROUGH CAD
prototype & experiment
This is the wind tunnel with a wave generator to simulate different states wavy surface. It is used to analyse dry deposition of atmospheric PM2.5.
